Ford VCM II has catch mechanics eyes recently as it releases latest V86 software. Mechanics are wondering what the difference between the newest Ford VCM II software and the previous V75 version is and what improvements the new software has made.
1. Different live data stream recorder
V86 Ford VCM II diagnostic tool adopts the latest Customer Flight Recorder, or just CFR, while V75 Ford VCM II is using Vehicle Data Recorder (VDR). Customer Flight Recorder is the replacement for the existing Vehicle Data Recorder. The CFR provides VCM II an easier way to monitor and record live data streams, which is very helpful when diagnosing.
2. Vehicle Measurement Module support
V86 VCM II supports Vehicle Measurement Module (VMM), while the V75 one does not.
3. Wireless connection
A fantastic new function of the VCM 2 is its ability to communicate wirelessly with your laptop or computer without any hardware or software upgrades. The function allows auto mechanics to diagnose cars remotely while the VCM II is connected directly to the vehicle.
4. More vehicle support
Compared with the V75 VCM II, this newest Ford diagnostic tool supports dealer-level diagnosis for more new car models, including all the 16pin Ford vehicles built after 2013.
