I purchased a VCS vehicle communication scanner interface with the new software version 1.45 last week. Here is my personal experience with it.
I found the device was quite easy to install. According to the user manual, I was warned to close all anti-virus software on my win XP system before installing the device. I first copied VCS interface program from CD to local disk C and put it inside new folder.SVDI VAG Then I sent PC-VCS to the desktop shortcut. I connected the interface to my computer thru USB port while found out the driver. The gadget installed the program automatically. The process passed without a hitch.
So far, I have tested it to do basic diagnostic, read control modules, display live data and detect ECMs. I did idle speed self learning function which specialized for my Infiniti (also Nissan) as well. As for other futures like: accessing to Power train, Chassis and Body system; activating component level and system level; resetting and clearing adaptations, calibrations and service functions I have got opportunity to test yet.
But there still something made me a little disappointed it that the device is not compatible with Bluetooth function. Hope it will improve in the near future.And this obd2 tool is so good.

Audi A4L sunroof won’t open problem & solution

When I pulled the sunroof switch to turn down, the signal was: front sunroof, front control panel switch 1111101.
When I turned on or off the sunroof, the auto diagnostic tool would showed signal input. But there was no signal when the widow was rotating. I suspected that the problem could be with the sunroof switch, so I disconnected the switch and read the data stream again, and the result was still 1111100. Well, I was wrong. The problem was probably not with the switch.
Then I check the circuit from switch E139 to J254 sliding sun roof control unit, which latterly turned out alright.
As the circuit was alright, I suspected that the problem could be that the sun roof control unit could not recognize the switch signal. Since the sunroof motor was with the control unit, I first replaced the motor with a new one, and then tried to open the sun roof again. The sun roof can be successfully opened this time.
