My experience with IOBD2 scanner WiFi

Recently my friend gave me an IOBD2 scanner for iPhone/iPad as a thank you gifts after I helped him solve a small issue…The tool looks like a smart and solid toy! Do not know how much it costs, guess it is not expensive.
A quick glimpse of the tool:

To use the obd2 tool, I need to download iOBD2 software from app store (as shown above). So I brought my iPad3, downloaded and installed the software in it. The software is totally free. Then I completed the Wi-Fi setting by following an online tutorial without any problem.

After completing the Wi-Fi setting, I tried the tool to read dashboard information and to read DTCs from my Toyota. As the tool displayed, my car was driving at 71.0 km/h and the coolant temperature was 88 Celsius, and no DTC was detected. The Wi-Fi signal was stable and I simply got the tasks done within 10 minutes. My friend told me that I do not have to plug the tool off. If I want to diagnose auto problems with it, all have to do is to bring my iPad3 and run the IOBD2 software.
